  1. I can see well the books you're reading that I have never read...

    1. The Girl In The Photograph is by a Brazilian writer, Lydia Fagundes Telles, recommended to me by someone on Multiply ages ago. I'm sure you'd be able to get it in its original Portuguese. It's very good, clever idea, takes me back to my childhood, but also very intense and detailed, which is why I've taken so long reading it.

  2. That Brazilian writer is very well-known in Portugal. I have already read two of her books titled 'Ciranda de Pedra' (not sure how to translate it into English but something like 'Stone Dance')and 'Antes do Baile Verde' (literally translated 'Before The Green Ball'. Loved them both, yet they are different.

  3. Ooh! Thanks for showing me how to do this here, love! And maybe I'll set one up over on WordPress and Thoughts.com.

Now, don't you agree this is a much more "adult" space than experienceproject.com? :P

  4. I don't do Shelfari any more as I found Goodreads (also attached to FB) and there is also a widget from Goodreads on my Blogspot. Anyhow was wondering if you are into crime stories. I have got into the Scandinavian writers and they are good. Perhaps I am fortunate that the translations are usually made in German before the english. Anyhow I think nearly all of the Stig Larrson books are now translated.

    1. Just caught up here. I'm heavily into crime novels. Currently reading Double Cross by James Patterson--never read much of him before. It's most enjoyable, and it seems a film of book one is about to be released, Alex Cross.

  5. I can't stand how serious you are, Welshie! D'you wanna know what I'm reading...for me? Paranormal romance! LOL! Currently, my serious reading involves the work I'm teaching, or about to teach...I guess I'd better update my Shelfari and post those, eh?

    1. I'm watching a great ghost story on the Beeb-The Secret of Critchley Hall in 3 parts. You must watch it if it appears over there.

  6. I've managed to get the widget on my top page, but I'm thinking I like your idea better, Gilesy!
